Today we started off the morning by docking in Skagway. It was our last Alaskan city on our cruise. It was a little rainy and overcast, but the weather held out for us. Skagway was a booming mining town back in the day, but now it isn't much more than a tourist town during cruise season.

This is the first glimpse of town that we saw. The town is nestled in a little valley surrounded by mountains covered in trees.

This little creek ran through the outskirts of town. It had a bunch of salmon spawning in it.

It was about a 1/4 mile walk from our ship to the town so Madolyn, Mason, and I figured we would just hitchhike in. You wouldn't believe it but no trains stopped to pick us up!

She was way happy to be partying in Skagway.

So this is how it went. On the way back to the cruise ship, Rachel really needed to go potty. Just our luck, Kristin found this toilet conveniently located right next to the road in this gazebo.

We all shared in her joy as she was able to use this gift from heaven, found off the side of the road in Skagway.
Madolyn completely crashed on the way back to the ship and we just left her undisturbed as she took a nice little nap.
After the nap she was ready to take her dolly for a walk, sporting Daddy's hat.
On our way back to the lower 48, we passed some beautiful scenery and braved the cold to enjoy it.

This is our mile long hallway. Made that trek about a billion times. Best part was passing someone headed in the opposite direction while the boat was rocking. We got close to some other passengers if you know what I mean.
This is Dawn's dream house. No bothersome neighbors and a whole island to ourselves.
Madolyn loved to dance. After dinner we would go up to a club/lounge that was always empty and Madolyn would get her groove on.

They received a fancy bottle of champagne as a gift.
After the party we stuck around as a DJ played some songs and we hit the dance floor. We never have gotten our groove on so much as we did on this cruise!
