Madolyn's 4th birthday March 24th, 2012- Sister love

While the girls were waiting for Dad to show up with the pony, they decided to run around the backyard and play.

Sometimes you just have to satisfy that desire to do yoga.
Can you tell Dawn is standing with them looking into the sun?

Nothing but love with these two.

Our silly little girls.  You can definitely tell they are sisters.

Madolyn's 4th birthday March 24th, 2012- Pony

To continue with my campaign to be the best Dad in the world, I called a buddy of mine that I knew had a pony and asked if I could borrow it for Madolyn's birthday party.  He said it wouldn't be a problem so after borrowing a horse trailer from a neighbor, I went and picked up Cinnamon.  He is actually a miniature horse and not a pony, but same thing, right?  To give you some perspective on how big he really was, check out the first picture.
Madolyn loved riding the little guy.  It was just the right size for the little ones to ride.
Avery dressed for the occasion and put on some overalls.
The neighbors came over and enjoyed riding as well.

Madolyn liked leading the horse as much as she did riding it.
True cowboys leave their belly showing by not buttoning their shirt all the way.  This is Jaxon our neighbor.  He's a year older than Madolyn and they love to play.

We finally figured out how to load some videos.  You'll enjoy them both, I'm sure.  This first one is especially good.

Madolyn's 4th Birthday March 24th, 2012-Opening presents

Dawn slaved all day to make this pony cake for Madolyn's birthday party.  It turned out awesome.  Madolyn loved it.  We all enjoyed opening presents and eating cake and ice cream.

Even Drew was having a good time.

Madolyn really got spoiled with a doll, figurines, a bike, play doh, toys, a picnic table and new clothes.

Uncle Mitchy was doing his uncley duties and fed Drew, while Cami stared on excitedly.

Even Layten and Matt a couple of friends came over and got in on the action.

I'm well aware I look like a goober, but I'll sacrifice to show you how happy and excited Mads was with her new clothes from Great Grandpa/ma Yee.

Avery loved getting in on the action.  It didn't matter if it was Madolyn's birthday, she just took it as a lot more toys for her to play with.

This doll came with a pretend blow dryer that made noise as if it was blow drying the hair.  It became a source of contention as they were constantly fighting over it although it was clearly Madolyn's.  I caved and went to Wal-Mart the next day and bought a the same doll and accessories for Avery, except her dolly had blonde hair.  Buying a new doll at Wal-mart: $12.  No biting and fighting over the latest dolly to enter our house: Priceless.

With our new patio and quiet street, we figured it was time to get Mads her own bike.  She loved it.

Can you tell that Madolyn loved her pony cake?

I think Aunt Cami did too.

Going cross-eyed blowing out the candles.

What a fun 4th birthday party it was!
