DISNEYLAND

The stars and schedules aligned just right with me having a weekend off of school and Kristin having a break from work to allow us to head to Disneyland for a few days to celebrate Mother's day and our 4th anniversary. Our little girls had never been there and it transforms Dawn into a little girl just by being there. The drive was long with a lot of breaks to let everyone stretch their legs. We all had a great time at the park and even spent some time out at the beach. The weather was perfect while we were there and we all got some nice tans to prove it. The park wasn't too crowded any of the days, and Madolyn had a great time riding the rides and seeing some of the characters.

See below for the pictures of us at the park. We'll do a different post for the beach pictures.

We decided to bug out for a little while as a fam. The 3d was a little too much for Madolyn to handle. She did better with her glasses off during the movie.

Here's some pictures of us going through 'It's a small world'. Madolyn sat next to Aunt Tistin. (Kristin)

We were really excited to go on the Peter Pan ride. Avery was snoozing and Madolyn was a little nervous at first but really liked it once it got started.

Here we are in the classic picture in front of the castle.

We finally found Winnie the Pooh and Madolyn was so excited to see him. She was holding his hand in the picture and couldn't stop staring at him. We thought she would be shy, but she was the exact opposite. While waiting in line to see him, she kept trying to cut in line to go to him. Tigger was right next to him and she ran up and gave him a hug too. After she gave hugs and took pictures she was content.

Can you see Dawn and Avery in the background? Madolyn loved riding the fish on the carousel. Her and dad are chillin' with their sunglasses this go-round.

You just have to get pineapple whips while at Disneyland. We love them! Look at Dawn's face. That is pure satisfaction you're looking at. We were sneaky and waited till the little ones were asleep so we wouldn't have to share.

Here's our little ones enjoying the stroller ride.

And here they are a short time later completely passed out.

Here's a close up of our little chubby girl sporting here little hat. She was such a good little bug while we were there. You can almost see her two little bottom teethies in the pic.

This is the California Adventure's kid's version of the tea cups that you can ride in Disneyland only with a lot less spinning. We were sitting in ladybugs. Madolyn loved the bugs in the 'Bugs Life' area of California Adventure.

Madolyn was nervous for this ride. It took us up in the air and twirled us around a little bit. She didn't know what to think. Once it got going though, she really liked it.

Look who we found! Ol' Donald Duck. He was less than impressed that I was wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt, but still as up for a picture. Madolyn loved the 'Duck'.

We also found the 'Goes'. That is what Madolyn calls cars. She didn't want to leave them.

Here we are getting ready to start the day at the park.

Getting our bedtime story in the night before going to Disneyland.

Daddy's 26th birthday

While we were in Burley we decided to celebrate Jordan's birthday. Dawn made a chocolate cake modeled after the kind you get at Olive Garden. She did a heck of a job. It was delish!

Random Pics of 2010

Let's be honest. No one likes long wordy blog entries. This blog is dedicated to nothing but random pictures from the first part of 2010. Enjoy!

Dawn is usually the one behind the camera, so to start off, here are a bunch of pictures of her.
Avery loves playing Peek-a-boo. Especially with her momma.

Our little chubby Avery.

Madolyn loves helping dad with the yard work, as you can see.

Carrying Avery in comfort.

Madolyn loves dressing up, and dressing down. Are you really naked if you have a hat on?

Our little rolley-poley butter ball.

Practicing her toe-touches.
Hanging out with Grandma Yee after shopping for the Easter dress.
Finally a warm day in March. Sunbathing with Grandma Yee and Uncle Mason.
Jordan took the young men ice-fishing in March. Not too bad of a day.

The girls love it when daddy comes home for lunch. It all starts out fun.
Talking with dad about the happenings of the morning.
Alright, it's not fun anymore.

Cheesing it up for the camera.
Playing together on the ground. Avery loves it when Madolyn plays with her.

Our little bug high-centered.

Getting ready to go for a walk when it was still a little cool outside, hence the bundling.
