Easter 2013

Easter fell in March this year which was a bit unusual.  We were worried it was going to be cold, but we lucked out and it was nice, really nice actually.  Dawn was really good to decorate eggs with the little girls to get ready for Easter the next day.

The girls were so excited when they woke up the next day.  We had church early, so we checked out what the Easter bunny left for us and then had to get ready and go to church.

The Easter Bunny brought peeps on a stick and Avery LOVED them.  Madolyn on the other hand wasn't so sure about them.

Grandpa and Grandma Peterson came over with Layten and Uncle Mitch for some dinner and an Easter egg hunt.  The afternoon was perfect for it and the Easter bunny hid lots and lots of eggs.
The girls grabbed their baskets and they were off!!

Avery would open and inspect every egg she found, so it took her longer to get to the eggs.

This is one of our favorite action shots.  The girls loved running all over the yard finding the eggs.
We all enjoyed watching them run and find the eggs.

After the hunt was over, we all sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine.

Avery just lounging around.

Quite the haul.
Madolyn wanted to play photographer and took the camera and started taking pictures of everybody and everything, including a close up of Grandpa.
The boys broke out the frisbee and played catch for a bit.

The girls giving Uncle Mitchy kisses goodbye.
Layten got some too.

Jordan's 29th Birthday April 2013

I'm officially 29 now.  I know, old huh?  It really has a way of sneaking up on you.  It was a pretty nice day.  It fell on Conference Weekend, so I spent the day listening to our Church leaders speak to us, and then did some things in the yard between the sessions.  That night I went with Mitch and my Dad to priesthood meeting.

Drew is finally walking!  He had started taking a few steps here and there in the middle of March and then the first week of April rolled around and he decided he would only walk (except on the grass because he doesn't like the feel of it on his feet and drops down and crawls or fusses until you take him off the grass).  Now he tries to run which often leads to face planting on the ground.

Madolyn helped to make breakfast cake that morning.
Drew and I went cruising on the wiggle car to get out of the house and enjoy the weather.

We even got the girls to help push us.  Madolyn is usually the one to come up and want to push whoever around the track and she will do it several times before she wants to rest, she is kind of funny like that.

The girls get more excited about me opening my presents than they do when they open their own.  They are really fun to have around for a birthday party.

Dawn spoiled me with some new clothes.

Aunt Kristin even came to party with us.

Grandma Yee came to stay with Dawn and the girls while I went out of town for work, so she was there for the party as well.

Dawn made a delicious cheese cake for dessert.
