Camping over Memorial Day Weekend

We drove a few hours south and camped near Fish Lake for Memorial Day Weekend. My sister Kristin drove down and met up with us later in the evening. This was our first time taking Madolyn camping and she actually did really well and loved walking around exploring. She even slept all through the night in the tent which was nice for all of us. We didn't really camp the whole weekend because it drizzled and rained for all but maybe a few minutes of the time we were there. We spent a little bit of time in the car eating and warming up, and we ended up leaving after one night. It wasn't the most ideal camping trip but we're glad we attempted it anyhow and had a cold but fun time.

Fourth of July Weekend

For the Fourth of July we headed to Burley and then spent a couple of days camping up at Lake Cleveland with my family. We spent some of the time hanging out in the tent because with our luck we once again had rain.

Pool Time

At the beginning of July we set up Madolyn's little pool in the backyard. It was her first time playing in the water outside. She was a little hesitant at first but once she got in she loved playing in the water, as you can see.

Madolyn and Tori

A couple of months ago we got to watch Megan and Chris' little girl Tori. I've been meaning to get these up, so here they finally are. Both girls enjoyed getting into whatever they could together.

Daddy in Charge

These were taken a couple of months ago along with many of the pictures I am posting today. It's probably about time to update this blog. Madolyn was excited that Dad was home from work but as you can see he was a little sleepy so he plopped her on his stomach and while he napped she sat there and read her book. She got to sit with Dad and he got to sleep, both content.

The Aquarium and Jordan's birthday

These pictures of Madolyn and Uncle Mitch were taken after the aquarium visit. Madolyn decided it was a lot of fun to put Easter eggs on and off of Uncle Mitch's eyes and he was nice enough to let her even though it looked a little painful.

Well both of these events are old, in fact both were back in the beginning of April but I wanted to try to catch up anyway. We went to the aquarium with Jordan's family when everyone was down for his nephew's baby blessing back in . Here are some pics with Jordan's siblings, parents and grandparents. As for the birthday pictures. Aunt Kristin came down to watch Madolyn so Jordan and I could go out for his birthday dinner. Madolyn's birthday was two weeks before Jordan's and this time she figured out what to do with wrapped presents and joyfully helped tear all the paper off of daddy's gifts.

Saturday with the Asays

Madolyn isn't quite walking yet, but she loves to hold on to our hands and walk. She had a lot of fun with Aunt Jeanice who spent much of the evening being led by Madolyn who likes to choose the direction she goes.

We had a really fun last Saturday. In the morning Jordan and I went to a friend's wedding at the Jordan River Temple. After that we headed to Ogden where we met up at my cousin Marcus' house with my Aunt Jeanice and other cousin Jenny and her family. It has been such a long time since we have all spent a day together just hanging out and catching up. My cousin Marcus and his family are moving to Oklahoma for dental school so we probably won't see them for a little while so this was kind of a last get together before they head out. I can't believe how much Marcus and Jenny's families have grown. We had such a good time with everyone, it reminded me of when we were little and would spend several days together at a time.
