DISNEYLAND
The stars and schedules aligned just right with me having a weekend off of school and Kristin having a break from work to allow us to head to Disneyland for a few days to celebrate Mother's day and our 4th anniversary. Our little girls had never been there and it transforms Dawn into a little girl just by being there. The drive was long with a lot of breaks to let everyone stretch their legs. We all had a great time at the park and even spent some time out at the beach. The weather was perfect while we were there and we all got some nice tans to prove it. The park wasn't too crowded any of the days, and Madolyn had a great time riding the rides and seeing some of the characters.

We decided to bug out for a little while as a fam. The 3d was a little too much for Madolyn to handle. She did better with her glasses off during the movie.

Here's some pictures of us going through 'It's a small world'. Madolyn sat next to Aunt Tistin. (Kristin)

We were really excited to go on the Peter Pan ride. Avery was snoozing and Madolyn was a little nervous at first but really liked it once it got started.
Here we are in the classic picture in front of the castle.

We finally found Winnie the Pooh and Madolyn was so excited to see him. She was holding his hand in the picture and couldn't stop staring at him. We thought she would be shy, but she was the exact opposite. While waiting in line to see him, she kept trying to cut in line to go to him. Tigger was right next to him and she ran up and gave him a hug too. After she gave hugs and took pictures she was content.

Can you see Dawn and Avery in the background? Madolyn loved riding the fish on the carousel. Her and dad are chillin' with their sunglasses this go-round.
You just have to get pineapple whips while at Disneyland. We love them! Look at Dawn's face. That is pure satisfaction you're looking at. We were sneaky and waited till the little ones were asleep so we wouldn't have to share.

Here's our little ones enjoying the stroller ride.
And here they are a short time later completely passed out.
Here's a close up of our little chubby girl sporting here little hat. She was such a good little bug while we were there. You can almost see her two little bottom teethies in the pic.
This is the California Adventure's kid's version of the tea cups that you can ride in Disneyland only with a lot less spinning. We were sitting in ladybugs. Madolyn loved the bugs in the 'Bugs Life' area of California Adventure.
Madolyn was nervous for this ride. It took us up in the air and twirled us around a little bit. She didn't know what to think. Once it got going though, she really liked it.

Random Pics of 2010
Let's be honest. No one likes long wordy blog entries. This blog is dedicated to nothing but random pictures from the first part of 2010. Enjoy!
Dawn is usually the one behind the camera, so to start off, here are a bunch of pictures of her.
Avery loves playing Peek-a-boo. Especially with her momma.
Easter
For Easter we headed out to Burley to spend time with Dawn's family. The weather was a bit chilly (shocking for Burley, right?) but we found enough of a warm spell to be able to run out and have an Easter egg hunt. Madolyn loves collecting things, so picking up Easter eggs and putting them in her basket was great! There was even an egg painted like a bumble bee and one like Elmo. She was really excited when she found those two.
Here are some pics of the event.

Easter Pictures
For Easter, Dawn and Grandma Yee went and bought the little girls some Easter dresses. New dresses means new pictures in them. We decided to go fancy this go-round and took them to JCPenneys. Avery was a good little picture taker, but Madolyn didn't have near the patience, especially when we wanted to have both of them in the same picture. They turned out somehow...
Enjoy!

Madolyn's 2nd Birthday
For Madolyn's 2nd birthday we went with the 'Elmo' theme, since he is by far her favorite person/monster/thing to talk about. Dawn put her 'Cake Boss' skills to work and came up with an exact replica. I think you'll agree.

We waited till Saturday, March 27th before we had her little party although her birthday was on March 24th. After I got home from class around noon on Saturday, we had my family come over and Kristin as well. Madolyn got spoiled as usual. We figure that anything we buy now will be used by her and Avery and any other kids that come along. One way to justify it I guess.
Anyway, we got her a little Dora trike, a kitchen playset we found used on KSL, some little animal figurines, jammies, books, a 'My Little Pony', and a ball. Not too shabby for her second birthday.
Enjoy the pictures.
