Alaska July 16th

Today was a day on the open sea as we headed towards Alaska. We started off our day by eating breakfast and checking out the ship. It was foggy, cold, and windy. Grandpa and Grandma Yee love dancing so we would go down to the dance floor with them for a country dance session before lunch, and then a beginner's ballroom lesson after lunch. For the in-between time we would play games or walk around the ship.Enjoying the great view from the top deck. L-R Travis (Dawn's cousin, Dawn, Madolyn, Rachel (Dawn's sister) and Mason (Dawn's brother)

Travis and I decided to get in a little golf before country dancing. This was a tough course with really fast greens.
We all got lined up for some country dance instruction.
Even Madolyn got into it as long as I was holding her. She was scared of all the "guys", that is what she calls strangers.
Lovin' that line dancing.

Dawn and Madolyn hanging out with Kristin and Rachel.
Killing some time with Uno while we waited to go eat again.
This is Grandma Yee checking out the dance floor while Grandpa taught Kristin how to dance.
Excuse the blurry picture. The moves that Kristin and Grandpa were doing were too quick for our camera.
Madolyn enjoyed looking at the water, just not the cold wind.
This is at our dinner (in case the food and dishes didn't give it away). Back row L-R: Marilyn, Mirna, Connie (these are Grandpa Yee's nieces) Fron row L-R: Madolyn, Jordan, Sue, Gerald (Gerald is Dawn's uncle and Sue is his wife)
Mirna took this one so Dawn could be in it.
Here is Grandpa and Grandma Yee. Grandpa busted out the sweet tux for the occasion and Grandma was dressed to the hilt.
Here is Jordy and Mason. To dispell any rumors, they are just cousins. Mason did not bring his girldfriend on the cruise with us.
The sisters at dinner.
Dawn's cousins Travis and Bryan with Bryan's fiancee Hien.
Relaxing after dinner in Rachel and Kristin's room.
After dinner we had our picture taken by the cruise. Dawn and Mason are practicing their smiles for the real thing.
Grandpa is figuring out his camera as we wait for our turn.
Here it is, the picture of our whole gang. Missing from the cruise and this picture are Dennis and Dyan and their daughter Marissa. Dennis is Grandpa and Grandma's third son. Our little Avery is also missing...

Headed back after the picture.
Once last photo op in the elevator.

Alaska Cruise July 15th

In July, Dawn's Grandpa and Grandma Yee invited us all on a cruise to celebrate their 60th anniversary as well as to have somewhat of a family reunion. We left Seattle on July 15th on the Sapphire Princess and headed North to Alaska.

Due to Avery being so little still and needing naps, we left her with Jordan's parents for the week. Madolyn was very excited to fly on an airplane and to go on the big boat.

Madolyn loved looking in the double mirrors in our cabin. As you can see, there really wasn't much more than a bed and a desk in our cabin, along with a bathroom.

Cabin day five July 26th

We started off the day by taking Tanner, Colty, and Madolyn out fishing in the boat. It was a little cool, but they seemed to have a good time. Tanner and Colty each caught a fish, and Madolyn enjoyed just spending time with everyone.
That is the look of a fine fisherman.
Tanner and Grandpa finally netted it.

Colty actually has a fish on in this picture, hence the look of concentration. We were really surprised cause he just sat there holding his pole real quiet and then all the sudden he says, "Grandpa, I have a fish" and sure enought he did. The spiderman fishing pole did the trick.

Here are all the cousins hanging out.

Madolyn decided it was more fun to stack powerbait bottles than it was to fish.
Madolyn tried her hand at fishing as well.
Here are the mighty fishermen with their catch. It took two pictures to really grasp their excitement.
After we cleaned the fish and ate breakfast, everyone came down to the water to play.
Here is our chubby cheeked little bug.
Auntie Manda got into the action with some kneeboarding.
Can you spot the bald eagle? He decided to come and hang out a while in the pines above the dock.
Here's a proud daddy with Avery.
Colty was enjoying hanging out.

Cami tried her darndest to be as photogenic as possible even on the kneeboard.
Here she is doing her model swoosh of the hair.
She doesn't have much hair but she sure is cute.
This is a very rare moment caught on film....Dave actually smiling.
Hangin' out with Auntie.
Avery loved kicking her legs in the water.
Madolyn loved dancing on the dock and wearing her new life jacket.
Even Aunt Kate got out there behind the boat on the kneeboard.
We found a frog and Cami and Amanda each tried their luck at getting a prince. Nuthin' happenin'.
Here is my hot wifey shredding the water behind the boat.
