Peterson Bunch

Well, we are once again in catch-up mode. But if you have ever read our blog it seems that catch up posts are the only kind that we do, so here we go. To start off, my birthday was the 29th of August and we celebrated it with Jordan's family in Pleasant Grove. Then about a week later we drove to Burley and celebrated with my family. Jordan had a convention for work so he headed back after the weekend. My mom was having shoulder surgery on Sept. 13th so the girls and I stuck around to help out. We didn't know how much help two little girls would be, but we tried it anyway.

Here is Avery sporting her bare legs and panties while heading to the store. She loves to push the shopping cart and the stroller at Grandma Yee's house around and around.

Uncle Mason got his school pictures while we were there so here he is.

The girls love playing with my parent's dog, Bogart. Madolyn discovered that he loved to eat bubbles and so she had fun blowing bubble after bubble and laughing at him as he gobbled them up.

Well, after lots of looking at lots and looking at lots of homes (say that ten times fast) we found a nice piece of land to build our home. One of my colleagues from my MBA course is the co-owner of a home building company. He mentioned he had a new development close to my work with lots around 1/2 acre. Dawn and I went and looked and loved the location.

We put down the deposit and started the process. They broke ground on September 1st and will be finished the end of November. We weren't able to sell our home in Provo, but were able to find renters in short order. We moved in with my parents while we wait for our home to be finished.

Here is our lot the beginning of September. The ground was broken and we have a hole.

Foundation was poured and set. We went out one Sunday afternoon to check it out with the fam.

It's tough to visualize with just the foundation poured, but this picture gives a basic idea of the shape of the house at least.

Lumber was dropped off in getting ready for the home to be framed. Our neighbor's home is quite a dandy, isn't it?

They left piles of dirt and gravel around and the little girls loved playing on them.

Here is our home all framed with our front door and everything. It won't be white when the home is finished, but it is a start.

Here is our basement. It will remain unfinished so I'll have a nice project to work on when we move in...along with our lawn and everything else.

These last pictures were taken on October 19th. The home is sheet rocked and textured and the outside is ready to have stucco put on. You can now really see what the home is going to look like.

Here is our backyard as seen from our dining nook. Our property goes back to the red horse corral, giving us a really nice big backyard.

Here is our view from the front porch, looking West. Our neighbor has a killer garage. We met him a few weeks ago and he is a super nice guy.

Here is our dining nook. We have the three nice windows with a view of the backyard and the sliding glass door that will go out to a little patio.

Here are my girls going up the stairs.

We are in one of the extra bedrooms looking at our game room. I think until we frame it, we could have a sweet little bowling lane on the left of our mechanical room.

When finished, each of the windows will be in a separate bedroom, so right now the picture is showing two bedrooms.

Here is our storage room with the cold storage on the right through the door. Should have plenty of storage for all of our stuff. Madolyn is really excited to be in our new house.
