Hee Haw Farms- Oct. 29th 2011

Dawn heard of a little petting farm in PG so we decided to go check it out. It was an awesome idea! The girls loved chasing the little animals, playing on the slide, and going for a wagon ride behind a tractor. It was a great activity.

Madolyn and Avery were brave enough to feed the goats by hand.

This slide was one of the best parts. Madolyn loved running up the dirt hill and sliding down it on a gunney sack.
The girls even went on a ride behind a lawnmower pulling these animal barrel carts.
There were even hay bales to jump off of and play in.

Pumpkins, Leaves and Fish Oct. 2011

Grandpa and I decided to take our little girls out on a fishing adventure to Utah Lake to see if we could round up some fish. We took Grandpa's boat and had a nice time. Fishing was a little slow but we managed to pull in a few.

Due to us living with my parents while we waited for our house to get built, I decided to do a little yard work to help out. The girls decided to help as well. I'm not sure if it was more work or play. Either way we had a good time.
What good is raking up leaves if you don't play in the pile when you're done?





For family night we decided to do a little pumpkin carving/painting to get in the Halloween spirit.

Avery's 2nd Birthday- Oct. 22nd 2011

We celebrated Avery's birthday on October 22nd by driving up to Blackfoot, Idaho to visit Great Grandma Peterson and to have a little party. Avery has finally started to get her hair to fill in although it is still mostly just blonde wisps.

Here is our little two year old first thing in the morning.

What could be better than a new pair of boots? Now she'll hopefully leave Madolyn's and Mommy's alone.
Whenever Grandpa is around his mom he turns into a little kid again. Hair all grown back in and everything. You didn't know he was a natural blonde, did you?
Here's our real natural blonde. It's going to be tough to prove that she is a quarter Chinese.

This is a replica of the goldfish crackers that Avery loves so much. Due to the shortage of orange frosting and the tastiness of chocolate, we went with a brown fish.
