Cabin day four July 25th
Sunday brought beautiful weather as usual. Temptation temptation... We of course went to church and didn't even go play in the water at all. We hung out together and enjoyed each other's company.
Here's Avery hanging out with Grandma.
Grandpa tried his best to get Madolyn to take a nap, but watching Cinderella was much more fun than taking a nap. We'll give him points for trying...
Avery is just starting to figure out how to eat regular food now that her top teeth have broken through. She still only eats crackers but that is better than nothing. Our little girls are funny as in they both had a tough time figuring out what to put in their mouths to eat. They both enjoyed playing with their food more than eating it. We are sure she'll figure it out...

Cabin day three July 24th
Kate and Dave and Family finally made it to party with us on the 24th. It was fun for all of the cousins to get together and play. The weather was a little better with less wind and more sun, so there was more playing in the water.
We are starting Madolyn young on teaching her how to drive a boat so she can pull us when we want to waterski.
Auntie Amanda had been in China teaching English for the last few months so the little girls loved all the attention they got from her.
Braden loved playing with his girl cousins, especially baby Avery. Madolyn enjoyed entertaining both of them.
Avery's little toothy smile.
Auntie brought back some panda bears for the little ones. They loved them. Madolyn now calls her "Manda Panda".
Avery loved swinging with Uncle Mitchy.
Braden wasn't shy at all when it came to swinging. He would be anyone's friend as long as you would swing with him, even a stranger like Mitch's roommate Alex.
Mom and Kate making some dessert for us after dinner.
Playing peek-a-boo with Braden.

Cabin day two July 23rd
We started out the morning by grabbing the boys and hitting the lake for some fishing. Due to the full moon the fishing was a little slow. None of us got skunked which always makes a really successful trip.
Mitch started us off catching a nice rainbow.

Even Pops caught a nice one.

I added a couple of nice little trout to the mess.
Alex, Mitch's rommie got into the action as well.
We loved the new addition to the deck up there. Evenings were perfect for eating dinner out there on it.
This was Avery's little playpen/prison while we were out on the deck to keep her from rolling off of it. Madolyn thought it was fun to lay in it as well.

Cabin vacation July 22
For the 24th of July weekend we went up to Island Park, Idaho to the Peterson Family Cabin for a few days. Due to the number of pictures taken, I figured it would be easiest to go day by day to show what fun we had. All my family was able to make it, even Kate and Dave and kiddles from Washington.
It was a little cool and breezy on the 22nd, but that didn't keep Madolyn and Daddy from playing a bit in the water. This is Madolyn literally taking a dip.

Here we both are jumping in to get wet.
Madolyn couldn't resist the slide. She was really excited to go down it until her toes touched the cool water and she started having second thoughts.
The sun came out for a while and we all decided to sun bathe for a while.
Even Auntie Amanda came down to get into the action.
Aunt Cami decided to come down and party as well. Her idea of partying is just a little different than ours. She puts on her Mr. Rogers sweater and curls up with a good book.
Grandma and Grandpa crashed after lunch and took some naps to revive themselves.
A squirrel came out to raid the bird feeder for seeds. Grandpa and Madolyn went out to see if the squirrel would come and take seeds from them. It never did, but it provided some good photo moments.

Avery curled up with Aunt Cami to read. She loved it.
The girls hung out with Grandpa on the deck after dinner while we all chatted. This is one of Avery's old man faces.

Ol Mr. Squirrel came out again and the girls had a good time watching him run around on the ground.
Here is another of Avery's old man faces.

I brought up a fishing spear to see what type of harvesting of the crawdads we could do. We grabbed Mitch, Mitch's roommate Alex, Cami, and Dawn and went down after dark to see how proficient we were at spearing. It took some practice but we got the hang of it and had a little appetizer of crawdads tails that evening.
