Avery's grease face March 23, 2012

The little girls thought it would be fun to play on the mini excavator in our back lot. Little did we realize, they were getting grease on their hands. Avery then promptly wiped her face with her grease covered hands and this is what we had. After quite a bit of scrubbing with dish soap, we got it all off.

Working on the yard

I borrowed a mini excavator from my old scoutmaster. The girls loved playing on it with me as we flattened out our lot.

My old scoutmaster also happens to be able to do concrete so he came over with his son and helped pour 9 yards of concrete for our patio. He has been a lifesaver.

I almost look like I know what I'm doing.

The kids

Here are some fun random pics of the little ones during the day.

Do they look like they all came from the same parents?
I can't figure out how to make these next few pictures rotate. They don't look like this when I upload them...

Now you can see why we are lucky to get normal pictures of them all together.

Can you tell which one the real baby is?
Our silly little Avery.
Grandma Yee came to visit.
Would you ever have guessed that a brown-eyed dad and a brown-eyed half Chinese mom would have a blue-eyed baby boy?

Sledding for President's Day

For President's Day we headed to the mountains to find some snow. We had a serious shortage here in the valley so we figured if we were going to have any fun in the white stuff we'd have to head to the mountains. Since I had the day off, we loaded up the girls, took baby Drew to my parent's house, and grabbed a buddy and headed off in our new van (we sold my CRV and bought an '08 Toyota Sienna so we could actually fit three carseats). I knew of a place up American Fork Canyon that had worked for sledding in years past and it didn't disappoint.

Thought I'd start off with a picture with Dawn in it. She is always the one behind the lens so it is fun when we get one with her in the picture.
Our girls loved playing in the snow.
Imagine Dawn in place of Layten and this would be a nice family photo.
Making snow angels.

Crash landing at the bottom.
Heading back up the hill.
You definitely have the right sled when you can fit your whole family in it.

Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day we made some yummy cupcakes with the girls after Dad and Mom got back from a hot date on the town. The girls love to help cook.

Drew pics and Mads photography

Here's our little guy hanging out on our bed. He still has really blue eyes which we are hoping stick around. No one will believe he is 1/4 chinese if he keeps them though. Oh well.

This is a pretty average picture for these three. Madolyn is happy to be a big sister, Avery looks like she is about to pounce, and Drew is wondering how in the world he got put in this situation.
Does Dawn look like the mother of all three of these? Based on Avery's expression, Dawn is definitely Avery's mom, but as for the other two, who knows?

One out of three we have everyone looking and smiling at the camera.

Madolyn is our little photographer. She absolutely loves to take pictures. Not only can she successfully start our computer and find her favorite kid website, but she also can function our camera as well as the rest of us. Not bad for a three year old. Here are some of her pictures that she took from the last week.
Rings on the floor.....
Rings on the fingers.....

Are they ever too young to start posing for the camera and taking pictures of themselves? She gets this from her Aunt Cami and Aunt Rachel.
Dawn's motherly instinct told her that Drew was looking especially cute and needed some pictures with his Daddy.
