Building the Sidewalk/Bike Track-6/19/12-6/21/12

After much drawing and brainstorming about what to do with our yard we decided we wanted a little bike track/sidewalk that went all the way around our yard and was continuous.  We wanted the kids to be able to ride their bikes or wiggle cars around and around in the backyard  that way if we didn't want to be out on the street watching them in the front they could just run out back.  So here it is.  It was a lot of work to build but my good hubby is determined. He along with his buddy Josh, my brother Mason, and other friends they got the track built all the way around the yard.  It took a few days of working on it before and after work.  When it was ready our good family and neighbors came to the rescue and helped smooth it out when it was poured.  We poured the first half of it on a Thursday afternoon and the second half of it early Saturday morning.

Madolyn's First Day of Pre-School- 8/21/12

Our little girl is growing up.  She started pre-school and so far is loving it.  We really wanted to get her into it so she could overcome her shyness a bit and so far it is working really well.  She loves her teacher and the small class size of 12 gives Madolyn enough attention.  She is so excited to go to school and asks us when she can go back.  It is so fun to see her growing up.

Siblings and Avery's haircut- 8/1/12

After Drew gets a little milk in his tummy he is a happy little bug in the mornings.  Here he is snuggling with Madolyn.

Avery loves looking at books and often goes straight to them when she first wakes up.

Avery got her first haircut after begging for one after Dawn cut Madolyn's bangs.  We went for the swooping bang look but her hair is a little thin for it so it didn't quite come out like expected.  It has more of a crooked bang look to it.

Grandma Yee's House- 8/18/12

I don't understand why people say are kids look different.  Check out the picture below of Drew and Madolyn.  They are almost twins....right?  :)

Kite Flying Family Home Evening- 7/28/12

Madolyn and Avery found a Cinderella kite at Grandma Peterson's house that belonged to Cami and promptly took it.  Although we have had the windiest Spring/Summer on record here, we couldn't find a windy day for about a week.  When it finally came we had fun taking turns flying it in our backyard.  Without trees and powerlines we have a perfect yard for flying a kite.

Drew likes to hang out in the stroller while we play in the backyard.  He has a fun time.

Even Mason got in on the action.

Easter 2012

Here are the girls in their Easter dresses.  It's not very often that I curl their hair and dress them up even though they love it when I do so this called for some pictures.

The Cabin- August 2012

Once again it was time to go the cabin at Island Park. There was early morning fishing, afternoon sleeping, and tubing, water skiing, wake boarding and knee boarding.   This year Madolyn rode the knee board for the first time with Jordan and liked it even after crashing.   The girls loved playing with their cousins especially on the tube.  Avery rode the tube for the first time and did alright but had her fill after one ride but  Madolyn and Tanner loved all the bumps and going fast which was fun to watch.  They wanted to go on the tube over and over and over again.  Here are a few shots from our time up there.

 Here are the two littlest cuties.  Sabree and Drew are about four and a half months apart.
