Cute Kids October 9th-17th 2012
Here are some pictures of our cute kiddles in October. When Drew wears blue it makes his eyes really pop. Still can't believe we have a blue-eyed kid.
Avery loves her little brother. Sometimes too much as she loves to smother the poor little guy. Drew started rolling around in our room and ended up underneath the bed. He wasn't sure how he got there or how he was going to get out. It was pretty funny.
Happiness on one face, a little bit of terror on the other.
Here's to Avery and her craziness.
At what age did you lose the ability to suck on your own toes, cause I know that I can still do it...
Matching surprised looks. Like father, like son.
Aunt Amanda is on her mission and she sent this paper necklace to Madolyn after Madolyn made one and sent it to her. Madolyn loved to get one back in the mail and wore it around.
Cute boys.
Drew loves his Daddy.
Girls Dance and Baby Drew Sept. 25th- Oct. 1st 2012
Well our little blue-eyed boy loves his cheerios. He love to pick them up and put them in his mouth by himself. He all but refuses to eat anything off of a spoon. We can usually get a bite or two of rice cereal or anything else in him before he turns into a swatting machine and won't let anything near his mouth. He is just going through a stinkin' independent streak. Haven't had a kid yet that wouldn't eat rice cereal or any sort of baby food. Guess we'll see if he can survive on cheerios.
We thought we would start the cycle of getting our kids cultured and experienced. We signed them up for a beginning ballet class and got the outfits to match. Mind you, we are the only dancers in the class that don't have a tutu as well, but who is paying that close of attention anyway. Their little friend Mylie in the neighborhood is in it as well and Dawn and Shyla take turns carpooling to take the girls. It is fun to have them show us what they learn in dance every Monday.
Neighbor Friends and The Walkway- Sept. 15th 2012
As the Saturdays come and go, we continue to get a more and more done in our yard. Dawn had a desire for a stone walkway so I got to work. I had a nice little crowd of supporters consisting of my girls and their little neighborhood besties. They kept asking me when I was going to be done so they could ride their bikes on it. Of course a popsicle helped them be patient until they could.
Head cracker Sept. 8th 2012
Madolyn was playing at the neighbors house while Dawn and I ran to look at some trees for a little bit. We were gone for about 40 mins, and when we got back we found that Mads had a little accident. No one is real sure how it happened, but we think that there may have been a staple or something sticking out of the back of the couch that she got sliced on while playing. There was no bump, just a nice slice down to the skull. She bled all over the place and luckily we have good neighbors that helped stop the bleeding. We looked at it but it was all crusty and had hair stuck to it. We waited for her to forget about it, so that night I cleaned it up and examined it. We then realized it was a little deeper and wider than we originally thought. We debated on whether we should take her to get stitches, but when I held it closed it looked good. I knew we didn't have any super glue, but I did have some fletching glue for my arrows. I held it shut and glued it together and it worked like a charm. A couple of weeks later when the glue flaked off, the cut was healed and she has a thin little scar that is easily hidden in her hair.
August 29th 2012 Dawn's Birthday
Every now and again our little girls do things that make us so happy they are only 19 months apart, like when they read stories to each other. We caught this little moment in August.
You can also check out their matching bangs. That is about the only thing similar between these two sisters...
Dawn's parents sent her this beautiful arrangement for her birthday. She got to celebrate two times on her birthday this year. Since it is her last one in the 20's, we figured why not.
Kristin came down during the day and brought her some cupcakes and this dress. It was a great surprise. It's always good to have a few helpers to blow out the candles.
It's also always good to have helpers to eat the cupcakes as well.
