The week before Christmas we had quite the party here. The Peterson parents came to stay with us while their house was under construction, Matt and Cami got engaged, and Granddad, Grammy, Uncle Rick and Aunt Sherma all came and stayed with us as well. Good thing we have a lot of room where we can store everyone. Matt stayed down on the couch in our unfinished basement and had my Uncle Rick and Aunt Sherma as neighbors down there as they stayed in our unfinished bedroom down there as well. Granddad and Grammy Poteet stayed in our bedroom, we stayed in the little girls room on an air mattress, my parents stayed in our living room on an air mattress and Cami slept on the floor in Drew's room. All of this the week before Christmas when Dawn's family would come and the sleeping arrangements would be figured out once again. Anyway, here are some fun pictures from the week before Christmas.
Drew has figured out how to do little handstands of sorts and likes to peek through his legs at you.
The girls decided to join him. We were tempted to join the kids and send this out as our Christmas family picture. :)

We went and had family pictures taken for Christmas cards and found a little play area in the mall afterwards. The girls love to play in areas like this.
Grammy is reading a bed time story to Avery. Avery loves to be read to and will be anyone's friend who will sit and read with her. It's always fun to spend time with the Great-Grandparents.
As an early Christmas gift to us all, we bought a gate for the stairs. It really took some doing since our stairs are so wide and we didn't want to screw a gate into the wood banister, but we found a really nice one and Uncle Mitchy helped me install it.
Matt put together a little proposal surprise party. He had some of Cami's friends come over along with all of us and we hid with the lights turned off. When Cami came over he surprised her by proposing. It was nice.
The silly string was my favorite part of the whole event. Look closely at Matt's face in this picture. Ha ha!
Even Drew loved it. We still can't get over his blue blue eyes. He is a cute little bugger.
Aunt Cami decided to make some sugar cookies with the girls and they had fun decorating them together. It really isn't Christmas until you decorate sugar cookies.
Matt and Cami dolled up and headed out to a party.
We finally caught Cami acting like we all know her to be. Aren't they the cutest little couple? We just hope their kids take after Matt.
