Fourth of July 2011

Well we actually celebrated the Fourth of July on the second. It was a Saturday so Jordan was off of work and we decided to take the girls swimming at the Lehi Rec. Center. They have a large pool that starts at just a foot or so and gets deeper as you go. The girls love playing in the water at home but because we don't swim in the big public pools very often they were a little clingy at first. Eventually they warmed up, especially Avery. They would both go under water and then pop back up with smiles. We put life jackets on them for part of the time and Avery loved it- we would just let go of her and she would just lay there and float on her back and close her eyes, it was funny to watch. Madolyn didn't really like letting go of us unless she could touch the bottom, but they both loved it overall and we had a good time.

That evening Jordan's family came over for a bbq before heading off to the the Stadium of Fire; so before bedtime we had our own little firework show. Avery didn't know what to think of them at first but liked watching them by the end. She even got brave enough to hold a sparkler. Madolyn loved the fireworks and would squeal and laugh as they went off. It was a fun day for our little family.
